Experience the allure of the Dolomites with our expertly organized ski tours, running every week from January to March/April. These tours are perfect for those who love the majestic peaks and valleys of Canazei, Alta Badia, Corvara, and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Designed for medium to advanced skiers, our tours require good off-piste skills and the ability to manage up to 700 meters of altitude gain, ensuring they are challenging but not overly demanding.
Each tour operates in small groups, promoting a fun and safe group experience. Every evening, you'll be welcomed at a strategically located hotel or refuge along our Dolomite crossing, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free stay. You will carry only the essentials in your backpack for the evening, while your main luggage will be transported to a hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
After an active day in the mountains, you'll have the opportunity to relax, savor traditional cuisine, and enjoy excellent wines. Our daily tours are manageable, and the use of the Superski Dolomiti facilities along with some taxi transfers makes the week of ski mountaineering in the Dolomites suitable for many enthusiasts.
SKI TOURING DOLOMITES TRAVERSE - WHAT TO EXPECT
1°DAY - Arrive in San Martino di Castrozza
Meeting of all participants in the hotel in San Martino in the late afternoon with the guide. We will organize the rental of the equipment, followed by a welcome dinner and a detailed presentation of the tour and the program for the first day of skiing.
2°Day - Pale San Martino - Val Gares Traverse
After a king's breakfast, we begin our journey in the Dolomites, taking us to the Rosetta plateau with the ski resorts. Here the breathtaking view welcomes us, as if we were in a different world. We must cross this "white desert" to reach Monte Negro (200 m), where we will begin our descent towards the Comelle hut in Val Gares. This route will take us to discover one of the most beautiful slopes in the Dolomites, a journey that will make you experience a unique first adventure. With a short taxi transfer we will reach Falcade, where we can enjoy the afternoon at the San Pellegrino ski area. The evening will take you to the Fuciade Refuge, where you can rest and recharge with Dolomite cuisine for the next adventures that await you.
3°Day - Forca Rossa Traverse - Marmolada Glacier
After leaving the Fuciade Refuge, we will go up the large panoramic valley on the gentle slopes of the Forcella Rossa. It will take just a few hairpin bends to reach the top, where we will be offered an extraordinary view of the Civetta, the Tofane and Monte Pelmo, as well as a myriad of other peaks. Our descent into Val Frazendas will take us directly to Malga Ciapela. From there we can take the cable car up to the Regina summit, the 3,342 meter (10,980 foot) high Marmolada, the highest peak in the Dolomites. We have the opportunity to follow various off-piste routes on the Glacier, of which the most spectacular is through the Canyon, a deep crack in the rock that allows a continuous descent to the Fedaia Pass.
4°Day - Sella - Pordoi Traverse Val de Mesdì
After a hearty breakfast it will be time to put on the skis and we will climb to the summit of Sass Pordoi with the cable car. Thus begins our exhilarating day of freeriding in Val de Mesdì, a route of over 10 km. Descending towards the Pordoi pass, crossing the vast Sella plateau, climbing 150 meters to reach the Boè refuge. From there we will finally descend into Val de Mesdì, embarking on an exciting journey across the Dolomite peaks, culminating in the picturesque villages of Colfosco and Corvara in the beautiful Val Badia. In the afternoon we will visit the Alta Badia ski area.
5°Day - Fanes Regional Park Traverse to Hut Sennes
Starting from Armentarola in Alta Badia, we will head across the Ju dal'Ega Pass into the majestic Fanes Park, finally reaching the summit of Monte de Gran Fanes. Following our crossing through the Limo pass, we will then ascend to the majestic peaks of Col Bechei Dessora at 2794 meters, giving us an exhilarating descent towards Pederù. Upon arrival, if tired, we will be greeted by a snowcat ready to take us to the welcoming Sennes refuge, where we can relax and appreciate the splendid view of the sunset.
6°Day - Fanes Regional Park traverse to Braies Lake
After resting at the Sennes Refuge, our journey takes us to the Riciogogn Pass. From there we will begin our descent towards Lake Braies, usually the valley holds beautiful winter snow. Crossing the lake will test our strength, especially our triceps, but we will reach the charming old Hotel located at the valley floor, a delightful place for a meal. Later in the day we will travel to Carbonin and settle in the welcoming Antorno Lake Chalet, located at the base of the suggestive Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
7°Day - Tre Cime Traverse to Sesto Pusteria
The grand finale! We will be thrilled to share the grand finale of our adventure with you! We will begin a breathtaking journey under the splendid Tre Cime di Lavaredo, considered among the most beautiful mountains in the world. Our route will lead us along a classic and easily practicable path to the Lavaredo Pass, where we will continue to the Locatelli Refuge and the picturesque Sassovecchio Valley. This will truly be the perfect end to our 5 star crossing! Once we arrive in Sesto Pusteria, we will take a taxi back to the hotel in Cortina. It will be time to say goodbye.
8°Day - Depart
